Domains can be very profitable, sometimes returning a high ROI (I’ve heard of domains being sold for $10,000,000 – the original owner paid $90 back in 1996. Thats an ROI of over 10 million percent!) but it isn’t as easy as it seems. In the past I’ve sold many domains myself. Some for a loss but most for a profit. Every domain I sold was a learning curve.
There’s a whole community online called “Domainers” who register or buy domains for the sole purpose of selling them or leasing them. Expect a post in the near future with tips regarding domain forums & blogs, which registrar you should choose, how to pick your domains, how to buy them, how to find discount codes for the registrars etc. There will also be a separate post with tips for selling your domains.
